RH3’s Nat Young scores as New Zealand clinch semi-final spot in Tahiti

RH3 Football Academy’s Nat Young has scored her first goal for her country, helping New Zealand beat Fiji 4-1 at the OFC U-16 Championship in Tahiti.

Young (15) raced into the clear in the 51st minute and finished clinically to give New Zealand a 3-0 lead.

New Zealand’s victory guarantees the side a spot in the weekend semi-finals of the tournament which will decide which of the eight participating nations will represent Oceania at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to be held in the Dominican Republic.

Cambridge-based Young has been with the RH3 Football Academy for seven years, playing club football for Cambridge and the Hamilton Wanderers.
