Kale herbert returns as head of operations

We’re thrilled to share that from the 1st January 2026, Kale Herbert is returning back to the Academy in a newly created role as Head of Operations while also working with Te Kotahitanga FC to develop their programmes and offerings. Kale will be heading up our Kāpiti Coast programmes at Paraparaumu College, bringing his experience, passion, and strong community connection to the coast where it all began.

"I'm excited to be back on the Coast where we had one of the first centres ever. Also looking forward to offering high quality coaching on the coast so players and parents don't feel like they have to travel for that. And really keen to grow strong relationships with the clubs and colleges here on the coast"

RH3 Academy Director Ricki Herbert is excited to have Kale back in the academy as Head of Operations. "Kale is an exceptional coach and it is fantastic to have his footballing expertise and player development qualities across our programmes"

We’re excited for what’s ahead and the impact Kale will have on our systems, coaches, players, programmes, and community. And we wish him well with the remainder of the National League with Miramar Rangers.
